Anna Caione (b. 1968)
Anna describes her art as an exploration of Surface. The process of creating a surface results in rhytmic balance and harmonious works. She has successfully exhibited both in Australia and Italy and was commissioned for Mural Painting in Torino. She is currently completing her Master of Arts at Monash University.

Cindy Care'
Just as one would write in a diary their feelings and thoughts, I have developed “sticks and stones” to do just that, but in the form of print. I like my work to be quite abstract so that not only it remain private to me (as it would in a diary), but also allow others to see feel what they want while viewing my work.

David Capra
Born in Sydney with a Piedmontese background. Capra as completed his 3rd year at the College Of fine Arts (UNSW).
My illustrations are based on weekly visits to Nonna and Nonno’s house. The sketches focuses on their traditions that I found amusing as a child. The work is like a homage to my grandparents who showed me what it means to be Italian and how important family, culture, tradition and food are to my identity.

Ree Sorbello
Born in Australia to Sicilian parents. Sorbello holds an Advance Diploma in Fine Arts. Sorbello’s strength lies in photography, having participated in several exhibitions.
Zio Peppino, Bondi Beach was inspired by a fun loving uncle who held a strong position within the family. Sorbello deals with emotive responses to situations or events.

Steve Lopes (b. 1971)
Lopes was born in Australia to Italian parents."My interest in this theme stems from my background and my paintings deal with aspects associated with assimilation into new territories. In my work I try to describe the importance of family and communit and its significance to immigrant groups who must adapt and cope with their new homeland". Steve has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of N.S.W. with distinctions in drawing and painting. Steve regularly returns there to paint inspirational scenes of everyday life. He lived for three years in Italy and London and has exhibited extensively throughout Australia and the U.K.
In 1999 he won first prize in the art exhibition - Artists on Norton.

Annette Covino Beehre
Born in Avellino, Italy and arrived in Australia in 1968.
Living in Victoria Civino-Beehre ha graduate with a Masters of Fine Arts-Research and a Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours. She is skilled in the medium of printmaking, Drawing, painting and photography. Her work has been exhibited extensively winning several prestigious Art Awards.

Emilia Gerace
Gerace was born in Sydney to Italian parents. She has in recent time completed her studies in Visual Arts as a Secondary school teacher at the University of Western Sydney Milperra. She has participated in various exhibition. In 2000 she was part of "Cultural Impressions" a forum discussing the media depiction of second and third generation Australians.

Gino Sanguineti (b.1926 - Chiavari, Liguria)
Born in Chiavari, Liguria, he arrived in Australia in 1951 and worked in heavy industries as a tool maker. He retired in 1985 and obtained a Master of Creative Art from the Wollongong University in 1989. Gino works mostly in metal, but likes to handle any material. he has works in many Illawarra churches in City of Wollongong, at the Wollongong University, Wollongong Art Gallery and in private homes. he has widely exhibited in Wollongong, Sydney and Canberra.

Jasmine Tezel
Born in Australia to a Venetian mother. Tezel has completed her Diploma of Bachelor of Fine Arts from UNSW. In her relatively young career she has had work selected for Art Express 2000, the Mosman Youth Prize 2003 and she has participated in ‘Borderline’, a group exhibition at Tap Gallery.
Renaissance Lady in White is a typical Renaissance theme based upon Titian’s ‘Flora’. The work depicts an old tradition as it recreates the sensitivity and refinement of the world of Renaissance Artists.

Laura Stark
Born in Trieste to Italian parents, Stark is at present an accomplished artist having gained her Master of Fine Arts in Printmaking in Sydney. She also studied in Italy, France and New Zealand. Stark has exhibited widely over the last twenty years and is currently a Printmaking teacher and tutor in tertiary institutions

Michelangelo Russo (b. 1962)
Italian born Michelangelo arrived in Melbourne in 1993. His traditional rural Italian heritage is a key to his art. Russo absorbed painting techniques during his apprenticeship to a local well-known artist, Granco Iannelli. He has also studied
architecture and graphic design in Rome. This rich and diverse range of influences is apparent in all his . Michelangelo has widely exhibited in Italy, Germany and Australia.
Age 18, he opted for a career in architecture in Pescara and during his architectural studies, he started a graphic design course which took him to Rome in 1995. His work has been collected in the USA, Cuba, Italy, Germany, Hong Kong and Australia. he has
been featured in numerous articles in newspapers and magazines. Winner of the Ligurian in the World Prize at the Artists on Norton (2000).

Filippa Buttitta
Buttitta was born in Australia to Italian immigrant parents who arrived in Australia during the 1950’s. Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts; a Master of Arts; a Master of Fine Arts; and a Diploma of Education.
Buttitta has had numerous group exhibitions which have involved an extensive and strong association with her cultural past and issues of memory. In 2002 she had a solo exhibition at the Sydney Ivan Dougherty gallery titled Triggers of Memory- Fragmented Preservations of Cultural Identity".
