Marianna Cara (b. 1957)
Marianna has a strong background in Art Studies and for the past few years has successfully exhibited her works in many exhibitions. Her current work "The Journey" is dedicated to her Mother's spiritual journey from her homeland in Italy to far away Australia.
Steve Lopes (b. 1971)
Steve has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of N.S.W. with distinctions in drawing and painting. His parents are from the Aeolian Islands, a small cluster of volcanic islands steeped in history and Grecian influence. Steve regularly returns there to paint inspirational scenes of everyday life. He lived for three years in Italy and London and has exhibited extensively throughout Australia and the U.K.
In 1999 he won first prize in the art exhibition - Artists on Norton.
Guido Maesti (b.1974)
Guido has been exhibiting in Sydney, Norhtern NSW and QLD since 1995. His sculpture and figurative works have enjoyed immense popularity. He has undertaken intensive studies in life drawing and anatomical studies at the Julian Ashton Art School. he is currently completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the National Art School.
Last years winner of the "Artists on Norton" Aquisition Prize, Guido also won the "Salon des Refuses" with a sculpture installation this year.
Kerri West Ninni (b.1944)
Kerri has a very strong background in Art and has exhibited extensively throughout her career. For many years she has imparted her knowledge as a Visual Arts Sec. School teacher. She has recently completed her M.A at UNSW. She was awarded first prize in the "Artists on Norton" competition for the year 2000.
Anton Pulvirenti (b.1973)
Anton is completing his Bachelor of Visual Arts at the National Institute of Arts, ANU, and has exhibited his works extensively over the past ten years. he was awarded the Lexus Drawing Prize in 1995 and the Canberra School of Art Drawing Prize in 2001.
George Ranucci (b.1937-Venice, Italy)
After migrating to Australia in 1961, George pursued a successful business career but always found time to cultivate his real love - painting. In 1991 he was accepted as an exhibiting member of the Royal Art Society of NSW.
He has successfully exhibited in many exhibitions and in 1998 he was elevated to the position of Associate of the Royal Art Society of NSW. He participated in numerous exhibitions including "Six Watercolourist" at the Lavender Bay Gallery. Artist on Norton encouragement award in 1999.
Nina Ryan nee Villani (b.1942)
Nina has a Bachelor of Arts, Fine Art (Painting - with Distinction) from RMIT and was awarded her Graduate Diploma (Painting) in 1987. She was employed for many years as a secondary school arts teacher. Has exhibited in many solo and group exhibitions.
Michelangelo Russo (b. 1962)
Italian born Michelangelo arrived in Melbourne in 1993 after various artisitc studies in Europe, including successful exhibitions in Italy and Germany. He started life in Campobasso, Molise and while a school boy, he trained as an assistant in the studio of a well known local artist, where he learnt to mix paint and experiment with different techniques.
Age 18, he opted for a career in architecture in Pescara and during his architectural studies, he started a graphic design course which took him to Rome in 1995. His work has been collected in the USA, Cuba, Italy, Germany, Hong Kong and Australia. he has been featured in numerous articles in newspapers and magzines. Winner of the Ligurian in the World Prize at the Artists on Norton (2000).
Gino Sanguineti (b.1926 - Chiavari, Liguria)
Gino arrived in Australia in 1951 and worked in heavy industries as a tool maker. He retired in 1985 and obtained a Master of Creative Art from the Wollongong University in 1989. Gino works mostly in metal, but likes to handle any material. he has works in many churches in Wollongong, at the Wollongong University, Wollongong Art Gallery and in private homes. he has widely exhibited in Wollongong, Sydney and Canberra.
Danilo Sidari (b. 1957)
Danilo was born in San Remo, Liguria. Upon completing his studies, he commenced his long career in the exporting of cut flowers. In 1990 he started painting and working creatively with marble. In 1995 he moved to Sydney where he now works for the promotion and maintenance of the Italian Culture.
Marco Stigliano (b. 1929)
Marco started to paint in the 1990's with various teachers at the Royal Art Society. He regularly paints with local art groups. He is fascinated by the colour and the light of the Australian panorama, which remind him of the South of Italy where he was born and lived in his youth.
Anna Caione (b. 1968)
Anna describes her art as an exploration of Surface. The process of creating a surface results in rhytmic balance and harmonious works. She has successfully exhibited both in Australia and Italy and was commissioned for Mural Painting in Torino. She is currently completing her Master of Arts at Monash University.
